Veterans: know where you stand
VA guidance says cannabis use does not by itself mean denial of VA benefits. Talk openly with your VA care team. State medical cannabis certification is handled outside the VA; VA clinicians cannot complete state cannabis paperwork and VA does not pay for cannabis.
