Ohio’s medical cannabis registration process starts with a recommending physician. The physician evaluates a qualifying condition and submits the registration information. The state registry and the medical recommendation are part of the process; a purchase or website signup is not a substitute.
Before the appointment
Ask whether the physician holds Ohio’s Certificate to Recommend, what records to bring and the full appointment price. Make a list of your symptoms, current treatment and questions. Approval is a clinical decision, not something this website guarantees.
Before visiting a dispensary
Check your registry account and recommendation with your physician or the program. Call the dispensary to confirm the documents it needs, medical patient service, access accommodations and payment methods. Ask for a consultation and clear written product instructions rather than guessing.
Caregiver or registry help
If someone helps with your care, ask the program about caregiver registration and authorization before they handle purchases for you. Use the patient and caregiver registry. For program help call 1-833-464-6627.
